It is always an honour to judge at a club show and this one particularly as I have seemed fated over the years not to do it. I found that although the numbers entered at shows are low compared to years ago, today the quality of the dogs exhibited is still good. Thank to Stephen Leigh my very able steward I couldnâ€™t have done this without you. Finally thank you to the club committee for my lovely gift which I will treasure.

BABY PUPPY DOG/BITCH (5/4)
I always find these classes so difficult and almost cruel to judge as they are so young and raw. All four of the exhibits today were very promising pups.
1st Storey’s NOSSIMP HOPE OF A FINE FUTURE
So aptly named, shows such promise. Won the class with her overall balance and composure, both standing and on the move. She behaved like she was born for this. Alert pleasing expression, nice dark eye, neat well placed and used ears. Good length of neck into well laid back shoulders. Level topline with a neat well set and carried tail. Good rear angulation. Hard coat coming through well.

1^St Dale’s LYNNSTO TOMMY GUN
A very promising young pup. Very well presented and handled. Pleasing head with excellent pigmentation loved his black ears, good mouth, nice eye, well placed and carried ears. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders short back and good tail set. Nicely angulated rear end. Moved soundly, just needs more muscle to improve rear action.

1^st Dale’s LYNNSTO KINGSMAN
Another well presented pup from this kennel. Free standing holding his own tail which is short and set correctly. Good mouth and nice eye. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, short back. Carried himself well around the ring, moving soundly coming and going which won him the class.

1st Stankiene & Stankus’s FOREST SPRITE WHISPER DUSK VIA VIVOLINAR
Stood alone in this class but was my overall winner of the day. Loved his presence and showmanship. All round a very balanced dog with no overly exaggerated features. Really liked his head construction and piercing expression, so alert with well used ears, mouth has a scissor bite, well balanced muzzle and dome with a good stop. Good length of neck into well laid back shoulders, short coupled finished with correct length of tail set on top. Good straight front and well angulated rear end which he definitely used on the moved. He powered round the ring covering the ground, holding his topline and tail the whole way round. Nicely presented and handled.DCC and BIS

Nice dog with a good head, scissor bite good stop and dome, nice eye. Balanced length of neck into level topline. With a harsh coat. Moved soundly front and back.

1st Fryer & Przygodzka’s OH KAROL VIXAN INTO HOPECHARM
What a stallion of a dog. Has commanding ring presence, tall and strong. Super head really good eye and what a mouth! scissor bite with HUGE teeth. Straight front with good lay back of shoulders balanced short and level back. Tail set and carried correctly. Good rear angulation. Moved well front and back with good drive around the ring covering the ground really well. Just let himself down in the challenge but on another day won win through. RCC.

Last judged this dog in 2019 as a yearling. He has matured on to be a very worthy champion. Lovely cobby dog, with good shoulder and rear angulation which he uses on the move. Maintains his outline going round the ring and is sound coming and going.

1st Seymour’s FOURSTAY FINE DESIGN
A really surprising bitch to go over. Not handled or presented to the best of the her abilities and would benefit by carrying a little less weight. On the positive side a really well balanced bitch with a well proportioned head, nice eyes and ears, good mouth. Well laid shoulders level topline good rear angulation. Held her outline on the move and was sound fore and aft.

1^ST Griffiths’s KARAMYND PRESS THE BUTTON
A very promising young bitch who should have a bright future. Cobby showy bitch really well presented demanded her win. Loved her head, feminine with a good eye and excellent mouth. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders, very short back with perfect short straight tail carried bang on top moving and standing. Sound on the move fore and aft and with real presence going around the ring. BPIS

Close decision in this class. Both bitches were really good specimens. Good heads, shoulders and rear angulation. Good length of neck and level short backs. Both were really well presented and handled. The first won through on her movement which was tighter and true, she carried herself round the ring holding her outline with her tail straight and erect.

Nicely presented and handled young bitch. Feminine head with a balanced muzzle and dome, well placed and carried ears. Straight front with well placed shoulders. Excellent jacket and good short straight tail which she held on the move. Good rear angulation. Moved soundly fore and aft.

A very raw bitch who was well presented with an excellent WHITE and hardest of coats. Good length of neck into level topline and finished with a short straight tail set and carried on top both standing and moving. Good front and rear angulation which she used on the move. She covered the ground real well maintaining her outline with good head carriage

Best class of the day to judge, all 5 bitches were fabulous and I was really splitting hairs separating them. I would have been happy to give all of them 1st place.
1^ST Noyce’s CH MAXULA VANILLA ICE CREAM
I have judged this lady before and she has matured on as I hoped. The best of heads such an excellent expression, great eye, stop and dome, neat well placed and carried ears, good mouth. Really liked her outline standing and on the move holding her shape and topline all the way round the ring. Good lay back of shoulder and well angulated rear end, which showed in her sound movement fore and aft. She never stopped showing and demanded the BCC BOS & RBIS.
